The Daily Money: Jeff Bezos unloads more Amazon stock

That concussive thud you heard was Jeff Bezos dropping his wallet.
The celebrity billionaire has unloaded another $2 billion worth of Amazon shares, Bailey Schulz reports, the last in a series of planned stock sales that have netted the former Amazon CEO about $8.5 billion in cash.
Bezos, the founder and executive chair of Amazon, still has more than 900 million Amazon shares worth roughly $158 billion. His net worth totals about $191 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Read the story.
Historically Black college eyes veterinary school
When Kaila Tyree-Castro was 13, her pet geckos got sick. The closest veterinarian was an hour away, and an appointment was not available for two weeks.
The episode left her wanting to become a veterinarian herself ‒ and now, as a first-generation college student at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, she is hoping to join the inaugural class at her university's planned new veterinary school.
Last month, UMES received state approval to create a school of veterinary medicine that will become just the second among the nation's more than 100 historically Black colleges and universities. Tuskegee University in Alabama has the only other veterinary school among the country's historically Black institutions. Read the story.
